Malnutrition is a common complication in cancer patients，40% ~80% of cancer patients suffer from malnutrition. It’s important to improve the nutrition through nutrition therapy. Clinical Nutrition Center of Sichuan Cancer Hospital established with the concern and support of leaders in July 19, 2016.
Clinical nutrition center includes nutritional surgery department, nutritional medical department and translational research department. We have a team of 9 people, 1 chief physician,3 deputy chief physicians, 1 intermediate physician, 3 primary physicians, 1 primary technician.
We have gradually developed outpatient nutrition counseling, nutrition rounds and nutrition consultation. We screen and assessment inpatients on nutrition, meanwhile nutritional education for key patients and key departments has been carried out. The center is going to buy body composition analyzer and energy metabolism system, which could provide technical support and ancillary data for our work. In the future, we will build enteral nutrition room and dietary therapy room to provide comprehensive and accurate personalized nutritional regimen for patients.
The center is designed with nutrition, oncology and immunology, it going to be a set of clinical medical technology department with teaching, research, education. Our medical staff will serve patients with professional and technical skills as possible as we can.
