Ｄeclared by the Chinese Medical Association Radiation Therapy Branch, sponsored by the Chinese Medical Association Radiation Oncology Branch, the Chinese Medical Association's Continuing Education Department, organized by Cancer Hospital Affiliate to School of Medicine,UESTC and Western Radiation Therapy Association, 2018 ESTRO Radiation Therapy Advanced Training Course - Chengdu Station was opened in Chengdu on June 14, 2018. At the opening ceremony, Professor Lang Jinyi, Chairman of the 8th Session of the Radiation Therapy Society of the Chinese Medical Association, Dean of Cancer Hospital Affiliate to School of Medicine,UESTC--Sichuan Cancer Hospital, extended a warm welcome to the training expert group and participants . In his speech, he said: Sino-European academic exchanges and cooperation have important influence on promoting the development of Radiation Oncology in China and Europe. We hope that this meeting will enhance the communication and exchanges between China and Europe’s radiation oncologists and strive to explore the deeper cooperation space between China and Europe and promote the common development of the radiation oncology business. Chairman of the training course, Director of the European Radiation Oncology Center, and Director of Radiation Oncology at the University of Milan, Italy, Professor Barbara Jereczec Fossa delivered a speech on behalf of the lecturer group and expressed sincere gratitude for the successful hosting of this training course and the enthusiasm and thoughtful service of the host organization. He believes that the professors of the lecturer group will surely bring wonderful lessons for everyone and look forward to having more opportunities to strengthen cooperation and exchange with Chinese radiotherapy peers.
