The 14thNational Colorectal Cancer Academic Conference was successfully hold by SCH in Chengdu on November, which was hosted by Colorectal Cancer Commission of Chinese Anti-Cancer Association and Sichuan Anti-Cancer Association.
Mr. Jin Yan, director of Surgery department, chair of the conference hosted the meeting. Mr. Jinyi Lang, president of SCH, made a welcome speech at the beginning and Mr. Jin Gu, chairman of the Colorectal Cancer Commission, gave the opening speech.
There were more than 1100 experts attended the conference, included experts from UK, Netherlands, South Korea, America and Germany. The standard treatment, MDT experience, minimally invasive surgery, advanced medical treatment was discussed on the conference.
The Chinese standard diagnosis and treatment of colorectal cancer 2017 was expressed in this meeting, which was a highlight of Colorectal Cancer treatment.
Also, 6 academic groups: laparoscope, hepatic metastases, TEM, chemotherapy, inheritance and radiotherapy was communicated with each other in the conference.
Prof. Philip Quirke from Leeds University gave a presentation of Pathology---Change the outcomes of colorectal cancer treatment, which gave us a new perspective on this field. After the meeting, he also paid a visit to the gastrointestinal surgery department of SCH and spoke highly of the work.
We believe there will be improvement of cancer treatment and health service though the communication of experts, and also make progress of technology and clinic operation.
