Prof. Lucia Clara Orlandini, once the director of Physiotherapy in Florence Cancer Center, has done a full time job and became the director of Physiotherapy of SCH since November, 2015. She learned Chinese and dedicated to her job, which made her very acceptable by SCH. Since she came, she did a lot to improve the collaboration between SCH and Italian medical organization including University of Florence.
At the beginning of 2017, 4 youth doctors went to the hospital affiliated to University Novara for 6 months academic visiting under the connection made by Prof. Orlandini. The visiting is well supported by the hospital of Italy. Our doctors got extraordinary arrangement by insurance, free tuition and free lunch.
The Novara University hospital hold a welcome ceremony for the 4 doctors: Jun Yin, Jieke Ma, Yi Wu and Jing He. The president of the hospital Dr. Minola hosted the ceremony with mayor of Novara, Dean of medical school in Novara University, Director of health education, Director of neurosurgery, Director of gynecology and Director of radiotherapy attending. The local television station and newspaper reported this visiting.
At the ceremony, President Minola said it's a beginning of collaboration with SCH. We made the first step for both sides, and would go further in research, publications and exchange visiting to improve the academic level for both sides.
4 doctors gave a gift of Chinese embroidery "Shujin" to the Novara hospital
The Mayor of Novara invited the 4 doctors to the culture activities to involve in the local life there. Then Dean of Medical school introduced about the international course, also sent the invitation of presentation for medical students. Directors from different departments shared their education content, and the willing of doing research with Chinese doctors.

The Novara University hospital is one of the top hospital in Italy. It's not only well known by its oncology treatment, but also full of research achievements. We believe that the doctors of SCH would learn a lot from the visit to enhance the academic study of both sides, and to improve the relationship between SCH and Novara.
