SCH Red Cross Society Officially Established

On the afternoon of March 5, the Establishment Conference and the First Membership (Representative) Meeting of the Red Cross Society of Sichuan Cancer Hospital were held in Conference Room 3 on the first floor of SCH Academic Center. Hu Lianjiang, Vice Chair of the Wuhou District Red Cross Society, Wang Yuying, Deputy Chief Supervisor, and other representatives attended the meeting for guidance. SCH Party Secretary Yi Qun, President Lin Tongyu, Vice President Liao Hong, and all members attended the conference.
SCH Holds Book Sharing and Donation Ceremony for Clinical Evidence-Based Practice Series – Oncology Diseases

On March 6, Song Zhengfang, former Party Secretary and Level-II Professor of SCH, donated the first copies of Clinical Evidence-Based Practice Series – Oncology Diseases, a textbook on evidence-based medicine for higher education institutions and a national continuing medical education textbook published by People’s Medical Publishing House, for which he served as chief editor. The ceremony was attended and chaired by Lu Shun, Member of the Party Committee and Vice President of SCH.
Family of SCH Staff Member Zhang Zhenqi Awarded “Most Beautiful Family” of Offices Directly under Sichuan Provincial Health Commission
Recently, the selection results of the “Most Beautiful Family” of Offices Directly under Sichuan Provincial Health Commission were officially announced. The family of SCH staff member Zhang Zhenqi was honored for its outstanding contributions to rural revitalization and the promotion of exemplary family values. This honor fully recognizes Zhang Zhenqi’s dedication to grassroots service and sense of responsibility, while also commending the family’s shared commitment to virtue and harmonious family traditions.
SCH Hosts Series of Activities for International Women’s Day


Ahead of International Women’s Day, the Labor Union, Women Employees Committee, and Women’s Affairs Committee of SCH jointly organized a series of themed activities, including “Traditional Chinese Medicine-Based Physical and Mental Wellness and Health Management for Women”, “Experiencing Traditional Chinese Medicine through Handicrafts”, and legal education lectures themed “Protecting Women’s Rights and Caring for Women’s Health”. In addition, the staff cafeteria hosted the themed event “Spring Warmth and Culinary Delights”. Departments including the Department of Breast Surgery and the Department of Gynecologic Oncology also organized science popularization lectures and free medical consultation activities based on their professional specialties.
Fourth Training Program on Precision Radiotherapy Skills Hosted by National Health Commission Officially Opens at SCH

On March 9, the fourth Training Program on Precision Radiotherapy Skills, organized by the Health Human Resources Development Center of the National Health Commission, officially commenced at the Radiotherapy Center of SCH. A total of 11 physicians, 15 medical physicists, and 15 radiation therapists were enrolled in the current program and began a three-month specialized training journey in precision radiotherapy.
Young Physicians from Department of Ultrasound Attend ECR2026 and Deliver Presentations

From March 4 to 8, the European Congress of Radiology (ECR) 2026 was held in Austria. Two physicians from the Department of Ultrasound of SCH, Dai Quan and Li Juan, were invited to deliver presentations at the congress in recognition of their innovative research achievements, showcasing the scientific research strength of SCH in the field of ultrasound medicine to global peers.
SCH Adds Three Provincial-Level “Flagship” Departments and Leads Two Major Clinical Research Projects on Difficult Diseases
Recently, Sichuan Provincial Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Sichuan Provincial Health Commission jointly released the list of provincial-level “flagship” departments for Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine as well as the list of major clinical collaboration projects on difficult diseases. The Department of Oncology, Department of Gynecologic Oncology, and Intensive Care Unit of SCH were successfully approved as provincial-level “flagship” departments for Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine. Meanwhile, as the leading institution, SCH stood out in the selection of provincial-level major clinical collaboration projects on difficult diseases and was approved to lead collaborative clinical research projects on malignant lymphoma and malignant prostate tumors.
President Lin Tongyu Leads Delegation to Southern and Western Sichuan for Research and Guidance on Tertiary Cancer Prevention and Standardized MDT Diagnosis and Treatment

From March 12 to 13, President Lin Tongyu led a delegation including Liao Hong, Member of the Party Committee and Vice President, Lu Man, Member of the Party Committee and Vice President, as well as a multidisciplinary oncology expert team, to Ya’an, Leshan, and Yibin for research and guidance on tertiary cancer prevention and the promotion of standardized multidisciplinary team (MDT) diagnosis and treatment models. Principal leaders, relevant administrators, and disciplinary experts from Ya’an People’s Hospital, Leshan People’s Hospital, and the First People’s Hospital of Yibin participated in the research activities and MDT discussions.
SCH Awarded Six-Star Smart Hospital in Sichuan Province for 2025

On March 12, the results of the 2025 Smart Hospital Evaluation of Sichuan Province were officially announced. SCH was successfully awarded the title of Six-Star Smart Hospital in recognition of its comprehensive innovative practices and outstanding achievements in smart healthcare, smart services, and smart management, highlighting the remarkable accomplishments of the hospital’s digital and intelligent transformation.
Vice President Lu Shun Leads Delegation to Xizang Autonomous Region People’s Hospital for Exchanges

To strengthen whole-process management services for cancer patients, improve referral pathways, and enable oncology patients in Xizang to access standardized and high-quality medical services, Lu Shun, Member of the Party Committee and Vice President of SCH, led representatives from the Department of Radiation Oncology, Scientific Research Division, and Cancer Prevention Office to visit Xizang Autonomous Region People’s Hospital for exchanges on March 19. Ren Zeng, Member of the Party Committee and Vice President of Xizang Autonomous Region People’s Hospital, Vice President Gesang Luobu, as well as department heads and key staff members attended the meeting.
Research Results of SCH Nursing Team Published in Leading International Nursing Journal IJNS

Recently, the research team led by Yang Qing, Director of the Nursing Department of SCH, published research findings related to palliative care in the International Journal of Nursing Studies (IJNS). IJNS is one of the most influential academic journals in the field of nursing worldwide and has long ranked No.1 globally in the JCR nursing category as well as being recognized as a Q1 Top journal by the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The publication marks another important advancement achieved by the SCH nursing team in palliative care research and nursing care decision-making.
SCH Hosts China-Europe Thoracic Surgery Live Broadcast Academic Exchange Conference

On March 19, SCH hosted the 2026 China-Europe Thoracic Surgery Live Broadcast Academic Exchange Conference. The conference adopted a dual-module format combining “live surgical demonstrations + in-depth theoretical lectures”, with simultaneous livestreaming across multiple studios. Professor Li Qiang from SCH and Professor Gilbert Massard from Robert Schuman Hospital in Luxembourg served as co-chairs of the conference. Experts and scholars from the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University and the First People’s Hospital of Yunnan Province gathered online to discuss key technologies including robotic segmentectomy and uniportal thoracoscopic segmentectomy.
Second da Vinci Surgical System at SCH Officially Put into Operation

On March 26, the second da Vinci Surgical System at SCH was officially put into operation, launching a new dual-robot diagnosis and treatment model and marking a new milestone in the minimally invasive and precision diagnosis and treatment capabilities of SCH’s oncological surgery.
SCH Holds 2026 Radiation Oncology Discipline Development Conference

On March 26, the Radiation Oncology Discipline Development Conference was held at the Wuhou Campus of SCH. Professor Yu Jinming, Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and President of Shandong Cancer Hospital, Professor Guo Xiaomao, Director of the Clinical Technology Committee of Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center, Professor Sun Ying, Vice Director and Vice President of Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center, and Professor Deng Xiaowu, Researcher at Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center, attended the conference for guidance. SCH leaders, middle-level administrators, and all staff members of the Department of Radiation Oncology attended the conference.
