Multiple Specialties of SCH Achieve Outstanding Results in 2024 Sichuan Province-wide Clinical Specialty Evaluation

Recently, Sichuan Provincial Health Commission officially released the 2024 Sichuan Provincial Medical Service and Quality Report. In the comprehensive evaluation of clinical specialties among tertiary hospitals, the Department of Oncology (Medical Oncology), General Surgery (Head and Neck Surgery), Department of Thoracic Surgery, and Department of Urology of SCH were rated A++, the highest grade. The Department of Gynecologic Oncology and Department of Pediatric Oncology were rated A+, while the Department of Neurosurgery received an A rating.

Recently, Chinese Medical Association announced the winners of the 2025 Chinese Medical Science and Technology Awards. Professor Li Chao from SCH, the team leader, received the Third Prize of the Chinese Medical Science and Technology Award, while international expert Professor Lucia Clara Orlandini was honored with the International Science and Technology Cooperation Award.
Professor Zhang Guonan of SCH Honored with the Title of “People’s Good Doctor” for the 10th Edition in 2025

On January 17, the 10th People’s Good Doctor Tribute Ceremony and the launch of People’s Good Doctor Clinical Observation Record 2024–2025 were held in Beijing. Professor Zhang Guonan, discipline leader of the Department of Gynecologic Oncology of SCH, stood out among numerous outstanding medical professionals nationwide and was honored with the title of “People’s Good Doctor” for 2025.
SCIENCE Research Results Adopted and Cited by Authoritative Chinese Guidelines and Expert Consensus


Recently, the nationwide multicenter phase III clinical research SCIENCE, jointly led by the Department of Thoracic Surgery and the Department of Radiation Oncology of SCH, was officially adopted and cited by both the Chinese Guidelines for Radiotherapy of Esophageal Cancer (2025 Edition) and the Expert Consensus on Full-Process Management of Immune Checkpoint Inhibitors in Esophageal Cancer (2025 Edition), in recognition of its high-quality and original research outcomes.
Indonesian Delegation Visits SCH for In-Depth Exchanges

From January 19 to 23, a delegation led by Yulisar Khiat, President Director of Indonesia’s Hermina Hospital Group, visited SCH. Focusing on precision radiotherapy technologies, the delegation engaged in in-depth exchanges and discussions on future cooperation with SCH through on-site observation, seminars, and symposiums.
SCH’s Popular Science Book Illustrated Screening and Prevention of Common Malignant Tumors for Residents Wins 2025 Sichuan Outstanding Popular Science Book Award

Recently, the results of the 2025 Sichuan Outstanding Popular Science Works Selection organized by the Department of Science and Technology of Sichuan Province were officially announced. The popular science comic book Illustrated Screening and Prevention of Common Malignant Tumors for Residents, edited and compiled by SCH, stood out among numerous entries and won the Third Prize for Outstanding Popular Science Books.
Proton Therapy Center Successfully Completes Proton Clinical Research

On January 30, Mr. Zhang (pseudonym), the last patient enrolled in the proton therapy clinical trial at SCH, successfully completed the entire treatment plan. Following evaluation by investigators, the patient was found to be in stable condition with favorable recovery and was discharged that morning. Since the first patient was officially enrolled and treated in the proton therapy clinical trial on August 27, 2025, SCH has provided proton therapy to a total of 47 eligible cancer patients. The successful completion of this final case marks the successful conclusion of the clinical trial.
